Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a part of traditional Chinese medicine. It stimulates the body's natural regulatory mechanisms and restores harmony to imbalances and disturbed states.
Acupuncture can be used during pregnancy to treat various complaints such as nausea, back pain, water retention and more. Acupuncture can also be used on children in a breech position to turn the child back into a cephalic position.
In addition, acupuncture can be used as preparation for birth from the 37th week of pregnancy onwards. It activates the natural processes of birth, supports the ripening of the cervix and can thus shorten the latency phase of labour.
The cost of an acupuncture appointment is CHF 70 (this is usually not covered by health insurance, so please check in advance).
